Our playscapes are tailored not only to the natural contours of your property, but also to your children’s unique personalities, abilities, and interests. Understanding your family life, expectations and aspirations for your children, and what excites and interests them helps us craft a one-of-a-kind playscape that inspires and extends your kids’ and their friends’ horizons.
Information Collection
To better understand your parenting style, expectations and aspirations for your kids, your kids’ interests, personalities, and strengths, and your goals for the new outdoor playscape, we ask families to complete a short questionnaire and time diary. We then use this information to create a unique backyard playscape designed with your children’s interests and abilities in mind.
Budgeting and Timelines
During this phase we will work with you to finalize a budget for the project and discuss typical production timelines for similar-sized project. We prefer to begin the pre-planning phase for spring installations in the autumn or early winter of the prior year since many features of your new playscape with be handcrafted and we often incorporate into the design unique vintage items and materials that take time to source and procure.
During this phase, we will research your community’s relevant building codes and permitting requirements.
